Bath County Workforce Housing Assessment and Market Analysis Study

Public Meeting Cancelled

Bath County, in partnership with the Virginia Housing Development Authority (VHDA), the Central Shenandoah Planning District Commission (CSPDC), and Camoin 310, is wrapping up its Housing Needs Assessment and Market Analysis Study.

As a rural community, Bath County is challenged to provide housing to its workforce.  To address this issue, the study involved analyzing data, engaging stakeholders and the public, and identifying strategies the County can employ to increase its availability of workforce housing.

Due to concerns with COVID-19, the public meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 31 at 6 p.m. at the Hot Springs Fire Department and Rescue Squad at 2670 Main Street in Hot Springs is cancelled.  Camoin 310, the economic development firm who assisted with the study, will instead present their findings in an online video.  A link to the completed study and the video will be distributed to the public at a later date.
