Invitation to Bid
Bath County is soliciting sealed bids for concrete and grading work located at compactor sites in Ashwood and Millboro Springs. Bids must be received by 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 5, 2024. Bids will be taken under consideration by the Board of Supervisors prior to the announcement of award. No electronic or faxed bids will be considered. Bids received after the time and date for receipt of bids will not be considered. The work includes but is not limited to site grading, concrete forming and pouring. The selected bidder will work with the compactor installation company for site improvement to accommodate new compactor equipment. The Ashwood site will require a pad 16 feet by 45 feet, 6 inches thick, reinforced and 4000 PSI mix. The Millboro Springs site will require a pad 26 feet by 71 feet, 6 inches thick, reinforced and 4000 PSI mix. Each site will be considered separately, please place bid in an envelope clearly marked “Ashwood Compactor Site” or “Millboro Springs Compactor Site.” Contractors may bid on one or both sites as long as the bids are submitted separately.
